Few items done on the Salt Racer

I've been working on the Salt Racer when I have time between orders. Here are a few pics of some of the things i've gotten done. Headlight bracket, forwards,electrical/battery box and tank bungs galore.

Charlie " The Nomad's " Kidney belt

Charlie called me up awhile back and said he had put a weight belt that he picked up somewhere in mail and asked if I could do something with it. I said no prob.. When I showed up I realized that it was pretty old ,had stains and very dry. I had always heard that you could not not tool old leather especially if it had been sealed.(which it was) .
Well I decided to try it anyways . I found out that it is possiable but you really have to prep the leather well.When I began to tool it, it took multiple passes to get the tooling to hold and was also the same with the dying stage. All in all it worked but I really had to work for it and I probably wont do it again (using an old weight belt that is)
